Joseph Pashkowsky

Joseph Pashkowsky, 91, passed away after a short battle with cancer on February 1, 2024 at Corewell Spectrum Fuller Avenue Hospice in Grand Rapids. Born on December 10, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan, Joseph moved to the area in 1979, residing in Grattan. He and his wife, Valerie, had a small hobby farm there, where they loved raising animals and gardening together. Joseph and Valerie were a very social couple who were great friends to many. 

"Big Bad Joe", as he referred to himself, worked at Benteler Automotive until his retirement and then worked a few years after that in the produce department of Greenville Meijer. Joseph was blessed to have his youngest daughter, Josette Pashkowsky and her husband, David Saunders, assist him during his time of illness leading up to Hospice care.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Valerie, in 2001, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. At his request, no services were held and interment will take place privately at the Ashley Cemetery in Belding. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home.
